HELLO

‘To capture an artistic image, it helps to first open your mind to the art of each moment of our lives.’

Isabelle Haubrich is a photographer who takes photos of moments in time to capture the essence of an experience worthy of being relived.

Interestingly, she became a photographer because of her love of music. It is no wonder she now finds herself specialising in live music photography, among other obsessions. As a child, she’d cut out photos of rock musicians from magazines and stick them to her wall for inspiration. So it was a seamless transition from smuggling a camera into every gig she attended as a fan into her current role taking photos of her favourite living musicians as a career photographer. This journey saw her study design and marketing before specialising in photography.

Isabelle now spends her days taking photos in a variety of settings for a range of private and corporate clients. She shoots domestic and commercial portraiture and events with a focus on live music concerts and weddings.

A little bit more…

Born and raised in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, she first fell in love with photography while studying a Communications and Photography. She continued her studies in photography in Australia after falling in love the country’s people, as well as its bold and expansive landscapes and vibrant local and international live music scenes.

She is currently based in Perth in Western Australia, where she shoots her favourite local and touring international bands, singers and instrumentalists live, on the road, in the studio and wherever they may roam.

Isabelle believes that we all live a life in images. And that to capture the most precious moments in their every detail is an art and a science that allows us to share, relive and reinvigorate a moment’s perspective so as to immortalise its very essence.

Music photography

‘Being able to photograph these moments allows fans to remember them forever. To transport us back to the place where that amazing energy was alive. And when you have a lot of problems, music helps bring you peace. For me, live music is about these moments and these experiences. You can’t have an incredible show with an incredible band without an incredible crowd. They’re all part of the experience and the art of each vibrant moment.’ - Isabelle, on why she likes to shoot live music concerts

Her journey with music photography has seen her to travel the globe, taking photos of world-class performing artists including Elton John, Joan Jet, Paul McCartney and Joe Satriani to name a few.* Simply put, Isabelle loves to photograph her favourite musicians doing what they love in front of people who love experiencing their music.

Ultimately, she takes photos from an angle that allows viewers to experience a portal into the sensory and spiritual experience of that moment frozen in time. Her favourite images of live music concerts taught her how well-captured images can transport viewers through time and space.

With her music photography she believes can help music fans around the world by capturing and sharing these tiny portals into the mesmerising shows she is lucky enough to experience with a camera in her hands.
